About
Through the years, I have defined myself by various character traits, impactful events I have gone through and faced, and who I wanted to be. I thought that once I reached a certain point in life, THAT was the person I would be, and I would be satisfied with who I had become. It was several decades before I realized that as a person experiencing life, I would never stop growing, learning, and changing. The same thing can be said about Graphic Design; every project, every obstacle, every moment we are faced with a new and unknown problem, we have the choice to try and be a single person for the rest of our careers, or grow and learn from it, good experiences and bad, and become better designers, better coworkers, and better people overall.
In that, I aim to apply these views to all aspects of life, especially that in the creative fields that we are so often told “there is no wrong answer”. While that may be true to a certain extent, if you have a goal in mind, than there actually is a “right” answer, it just might not be the one you thought it would be. So whether wheel throwing, or creating a grid layout for the next project, I continue to strive to achieve that “right” answer.
