Album Cover

For the Album Design, layered Acetate Sheets were used and a single image mirrored, to portray the theme of duality. The “duality” for this project was the apparent “dreariness of life”, versus the dream-like state of longing for past loves, and future dreams, tied together through a woman in the foreground. For the vinyl covers, images from the original landscape photographs were chosen. For main headers, script typefaces were used, furthering the polaroid feel that is seen in the band’s other albums. A “patchy” texture, akin to that of a felt pen or marker, was created through type manipulation, the purpose being to add another touch of personal familiarity and similarity as many of the band’s album covers use hand written and script style text.
